Voice of Calm’s 3 beauty must haves!

I love, love, love makeup. In a previous life I was probably a make up artist. Or a clown maybe? … So what are my 3 beauty must haves?

1. Neil’s Yard Wild Rose Beauty Balm.

Now, just to be clear, this is an oil,  not a cream.  It looks like set honey but smells of rosehips.  My combination skin absorbs moisturiser so personally I can slather this stuff on and not look greasy.  A friend of mine only uses it as a night cream because her skin doesn’t absorb it so quickly.

For me, it’s morning and night and my skin feels fab!

The reason I have moved away from moisturising cream is that over time the wax in cream can clog your pores. Who wants massive, dirty pores?  Your face’s natural oils hold everything together so when you put this stuff on you look naturally fresher and all glowy.

2. Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara.

I have long eye lashes.  Ooh, get me!  I’m not showing off, I’m pointing this out because I have always battled with black smudging.  Under my eyes and on my eye sockets.  How ghastly!! 😉

When I started using this mascara I stopped that issue.  Every now and again I forget, use a different product and get home to panda eyes.  Great!

Another trick to avoid eye smudge is to use a light compressed powder under your eyes and over your sockets.  It can really help with that unauthorised travelling.

3. YSL Tatouage Couture Matte Stain lipstick.

YSL red lippie

YSL do some awesome lipsticks.  Alongside Clinique’s Chubby Sticks this range is my go to lipstick. It really does stain, which is great for lazy biatches like me who can’t be bothered to re-apply.

Best partnered with a lipliner these colours have a lovely matte finish, which make you look ready to party.  Or just hang out at home looking super glam.  Just me? Ok then.
